What is the difference between a hammer mill and a crusher?

A hammer mill reduces the product by impact at high speed. A crusher reduces the size of the product by breaking/sliding at low/medium speed. A crusher has a rotor with strips/knives that rotates with a play in relation to a stator that is fixed in the housing, also with strips/knives.
