What ways are there to heat a mixer?
Heating a mixer can be done in different ways. The simplest is with electrical tracing. This is a resistance wire that develops heat. Electricity is a high-quality form of energy, which also makes this an expensive form of energy. A mixer can also be heated with warm water, by means of pipes that are in contact with the mixer walls. A third method is by means of a double wall through which the warm liquid or steam flows. In a number of cases, hot water can be obtained more cheaply than electricity. Residual heat from another part of the process could be used for this.
A very high energy transfer to the product can be realized with steam in a double wall.
For all of the above systems, the mixer is isolated to use the supplied energy as efficiently as possible and to guarantee the safety of operators.
