Dinnissen has developed a series of mixers that combine the mixing of a batch of granules or grains with other applications. The Pegasus® Conditioner gently heats the mixture to the desired temperature, preventing de-mixing. The Pegasus® Thermal Mixer enables steam sterilization and drying of your product. The Pegasus® Vacuum Mixer combines mixing with vacuum technology, while the Pegasus® Acidification Mixer adds a finishing touch of fresh sour taste. The Pegasus® Dry Mixer combines mixing and drying and the Pegasus® Coating Mixer merges mixing and top coating.

Key features, options, and versions

Essentially, all Pegasus® mixers operate on a common principle. At the top, the product is fed into the mixer through an airtight seal. Dual blades, rotating in opposing directions, ensure thorough mixing. Towards the base, hatches open when the desired blend is achieved. In combination with mixing, different processes are possible.

PEGASUS® CONDITIONER

The Pegasus® Conditioner combines diverse bulk materials such as powders, water, steam, and fats, all while preventing de-mixing. This mixer’s unique characteristic is its concurrent heating process, which guarantees uniformity in the mixture. Furthermore, by accurately controlling the temperature, you can precisely determine the moisture content of your product.

PEGASUS® THERMAL MIXER

Also known as the Thermidor Mixer, The Pegasus® Thermal Mixer utilizes steam to sterilize the product to be mixed. This highly effective system can for example be used as pretreatment or salmonella control. With an astounding 99.999% reduction in microbe populations, this mixer subsequently cools the product to the desired temperature, without any risk of de-mixing.

PEGASUS® VACUUM MIXER

Designed to eliminate air bubbles form mixtures, the Pegasus® Vacuum Mixer operates under vacuum conditions. This feature prevents foaming, bubble formation, contamination, and cavitation. The Pegasus® Vacuum Blender has a capacity of 10 to 3000 liters per batch and ensures a homogeneous final result without air bubbles.

PEGASUS® ACIDIFICATION MIXER

The Pegasus® Acidification Mixer adds a fresh, tangy touch to products such as teas, confectionery and cereals. Seeking a distinct function? Dinnissen thrives on customizing solutions, always ready to collaborate in optimizing your production process.

PEGASUS® DRY MIXER

Aptly named, the Pegasus® Dry Mixer provides a combination of mixing and drying. Through an intuitive control system, you can effortlessly set the desired moisture percentage in your product. The Dry Mixer maintains homogeneity even throughout the drying process.

PEGASUS® COATING MIXER

Uniting mixing with coating application, The Pegasus® Coating Mixer boasts an advanced spray system that uniformly coats each grain. This mixer accommodates multiple langers if needed, always ensuring a consistent final outcome.

How it works

Every Pegasus® Mixer consists of a mixing chamber, housing two counter-rotating blades. Materials to be mixed enter through the top via an airtight seal. Depending on the desired functionalities, the mixer can heat or cool the product, introduce steam, establish moisture levels, apply top coats, and more. The sides of the mixing chamber bend slightly toward each other at the top of the system, creating a droplet shape. The negative angle of inclination at the top of the mixing chamber reduces the risk of adhesion of the treated product.
